Bob Pollard was born in 1987. He picked up his first musical instrument at age
12. It was a flute. Bob switched to guitar at age 16, "Because it was less gay,"
he says. Bob didn't start playing bass until December 2008. Bob joined The Knowing
Hand in January 2009. "All of the reasons that I like playing with The Knowing
Hand are kind of shallow," he says with a grin, then, "Hey! Don't put that in
there!" Bob's musical background includes playing with a pop-punk band, a hardcore
band, acoustic efforts in Truck Fighter, and playing bass at the Las Vegas Firegrill
with their house band. Bob's "other job" is as a web designer, and he enjoys
making his own herbal teas. Some of Bob's major musical influences are Coheed
and Cambria, Egypt Central, Count the Stars, and The Juliana Theory.
