Skyler Greene was born in Redlands, California in 1987. Skyler asked for his
first guitar after watching a David Lee Roth music video at age 3. His parents
were extremely supportive, buying him the guitar and lessons. Skyler joined
The Knowing Hand because he was curious to learn what the result of blending
such a diverse array of musical backgrounds would be. Skyler's musical background
includes classical training from age 3 to age 15, seven years of marching band,
four years of jazz band, and he started teaching professionally at age 15. He
has also played numerous weddings and funerals, and lead guitar for the house
band at the Las Vegas Firegrill. Skyler's "other job" is as a web designer.
Skyler has no large intestine, cannot grow fashionably sustainable amounts of
facial hair, and he never plays guitar with his shoes on. Some of his major
musical influences include Boston, The Allman Brothers, Tool, David Gilmour,
Eric Johnson, Mark Knopfler, The Beatles, The Zombies, and Lindsey Buckingham.
